Black Bag Job

an unAmerican new play

Heading 2

On April 4, 1968, four federal agents occupy a cramped room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. Tasked with capturing every private moment of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., they install covert microphones and reel-to-reel recorders in his adjoining room. As hours pass, the agents - once staunch patriots - grapple with the moral rot beneath their orders. Camaraderie fractures, conscience surges, and each must decide: remain the silent witness to history, or risk everything to intervene in a moment that will echo through time.
